LUMBERTON — A single engine plane took off Sunday afternoon in northern Robeson County but never got enough speed. It crashed seconds later.
The two people on board sustained only minor injuries. The crash occurred about 3:30 p.m. at Malloy Road.
When the plane failed to gain altitude, the pilot attempted to abort the take-off.
