Possible Human Remains Found in Oxford

Posted March 25, 2007

— Police are investigating the discovery of possible human remains behind an Oxford children’s home Sunday afternoon.

According to Oxford police officials, a man and his dog were walking through the woods behind the Masonic Children’s Home at 600 College Street and found a skull appearing to be that of a human adult and other remains along a creek.

Police officials said there are several missing persons’ reports that might be linked to the remains, but they have not made a positive identification.

Investigators with the State Bureau of Investigation’s crime lab are due to arrive at the scene Monday morning to attempt to find the rest of the remains. Crime dogs are also expected to search the area.

I'm pretty sure this is going to turn out to be a missing person! (rolls eyes)

AmericanProud, I'm just taking a page from t -dot- wright530's copious, irrelevant "If you (fill in the blank here) you might be a ... Democrat" posts that have cropped up on just about every story around here. I guess it's OK in your eyes for Republicans to do it. Nice double-standard, but that's par for the course.

If these turn out to be remains, from a missing person, God bless their family. Nokid - you need to stop smokin' crack, you don't even make any sense. It seems to me that you posted something totally irrelevant and then went political. I hope you get some help.
