GARNER — Throughout the tornado-torn town of Garner, neighbors are helping neighbors pick up the pieces following the storm.
They're coming from near and far. One Cary couple decided to spend their Sunday afternoon as part of the clean-up effort.
Suzanne and Matthew Bulley brought their chainsaws to Garner to help cut fallen branches and clear debris out of yards. The Bulleys learned from Hurricane Fran the importance of helping others in time of need.
Matthew Bulley said, "We were watching on the news, actually Channel 5 (WRAL-TV), that a lot of people in the Garner area were getting hit with a tornado. After Fran my mother went through the same thing, and a lot of people turned out to help clean up her yard. We figured we would just return the favor."
The Bulleys spent all day in Garner. Residents there said the help is deeply appreciated.
