DURHAM — The early Sunday morning death of a Durham infant has police out in force. Investigators say the baby boy, who was less than a month old, was left alone with an 11-year-old child.
Police are not yet sure what happened, but say they received a call to 9-1-1 reporting there was something wrong with the infant. By the time the ambulance arrived, the baby was dead.
Police have not said where the mother was when the baby died.
Durham police say the medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
