Raleigh Trail Is Link to Diabetics

RALEIGH — Some people in Raleigh are trying to save lives through education. They're teaching people about diabetes as part of Project Direct.

Saturday, members of Project Direct undertook to "Adopt-a-Trail" at the Chavis Park Recreational Center.

The new walking trail emphasizes the importance of physical activity for people with diabetes. Nutrition experts also showed people how to prepare healthy meals.
