FAYETTEVILLE — A 4-year-old Cumberland County boy remains at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center after being attacked by a neighbor's dog. The child was bitten several times in the face by the mixed breed dog.

Da-Qushawn Virgil, according to a hospital spokesperson, is "under observation", and his condition is considered "fair".

Reportedly, the child had played with the dog before with no trouble.

The dog was tied up in its owner's Fayetteville yard at the time of the attack.
