RALEIGH — The highest ranking woman in North Carolina law enforcement has been sworn in at the State Bureau of Investigation.
Kaye Broos was sworn in Monday morning as the new Assistant Director of the SBI. She will oversee training, recruitment, personnel and safety programs. After 30 years with the SBI, Broos says it was dedication, not her gender, that got her the job.
Broos said she would like everyone to know that hard work has its rewards. "Perseverance, diligence, honesty, and integrity certainly mean a lot toward advancement.
In her new position, Broos will also handle community relations, crime prevention, and safe neighborhood initiatives.
