RALEIGH — Some 30 disaster-trained volunteers from North Carolina are on stand-by to help central Florida's tornado victims pick up the pieces.
Two Red Cross volunteers from Raleigh also will be part of the relief effort, working on one of a dozen emergency response vehicles. Those vehicles work neighborhoods to provide food and water to families who lost everything.
In addition, four high-level disaster-trained volunteers from North Carolina have already been sent to Florida.
Raleigh's Helping Hand mission is sending two truckloads of supplies to central Florida.
