CARY — Cary police have taken out arrest warrants on Roy Strickland, the pickup truck driver involved in last week's deadly crash on US 1/64. Strickland faces two counts of involuntary manslaughter and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.
The warrants have not been served yet, because Strickland is still in critical condition at Wake Medical Center. Police say Strickland had been drinking, and that alcohol was a factor in the crash. His pickup truck hit a car, killing Emma Richardson and her daughter, Brenda Richardson.
Brenda Richardson's two daughters are still hospitalized. Kasheca, 9, is in critical condition, and Anesha, 16, is stable.
