Two brothers charged in the murders of two law enforcement officers are in a Cumberland County courtroom today.

Tilmon Charles Golphin, 19 and his brother Kevin Salvador Golphin, 17, are accused of killing Highway Patrol Trooper Ed Lowry and Cumberland County Sheriff's Deputy David Hathcock during a traffic stop on Interstate 95 last fall.

A judge is deciding whether to try the brothers together or separately. More pre-trial motions are expected the rest of the week.

The Golphin brothers each face the death penalty.
