RALEIGH — The assistant commissioner of North Carolina's Division of Motor Vehicles has been suspended with pay from his post.
Edward Carr is on investigative leave, but no one is saying why.
A security officer escorted Carr from the DMV offices Friday. DMV officials say the situation is an internal matter, and will not be referred to the State Bureau of Investigation.
