Bragg, Lejeune Troops Head for Gulf

FORT BRAGG — Some North Carolina troops are heading to the Gulf. Members of Fort Bragg's psychological operations unit are among those being being sent out.

Carol Jones, with Army Special Operations, says they're specialists in mass communications their goal is to convince nations and forces to take action favorable to the US.

At Camp Lejeune, marines are training to fight biological and chemical attacks like ones they could face in the Gulf.

The Pentagon has dispatched 13 more fighter planes and bombers. Six more stealth jets are scheduled Friday.
