RALEIGH — The Army Corps of Engineers is increasing the amount of water it's releasing from the Falls Lake Dam.

The Corps is releasing 2500 cubic feet of water per second. That's less than HALF of the amount it had to release during Hurricane Fran. The additional water is NOT expected to cause flooding problems downstream.
