Durham police posted an Amber Alert for a girl who reportedly had been kidnapped at gunpoint from her school bus stop, then announced  the girl had been located.

Police said only that  Natalie Sanchez Fernandeza, 15, had been found shortly after 9:30 p.m. The state Department of Crime Control and Public Safety said the girl was "safely recovered."

"Durham Police worked relentlessly following leads and located Ms. Natalie Sanchez Fernandez. Because of the sensitivity of this investigation, no additional information will be released at this time," an announcement said.

Witnesses had told police she had been abducted by two men shortly after 3 p.m. near the Duke Manor apartments where her family lives.

Police had been looking for a white Honda Civic.

Praise God for returning the little girl! I was not aware of this incident, else I would have prayed for her. But God saved her without even my praying . . . He is truly a wonderful God! And thank you God for the brave Durham police officers! I will pray for them. Please God protect all police officers as they protect us from those who would attempt to to EVIL in thine kingdom! Amen!

you can tell a consevertive any way you hear or read them. Fellows, this was about a kidnaping not a Duke Lacross party. We know it's hard for you to tell the difference between the two.

I agree Ladybug there must be more...

I am glad she is found safe and sound!!! WTG to her schoolmates for being aware enough to give details too!!!

Sounds a little suspicious! There's got to be more to the story!

A lot of you really get off the subject - bringing in the LaCrosse incident and someone talking about something in Calif.

I think if you spoke to the Calif police and inparticular those who were at the grand jury hearing they will tell you there is no case and they are surprised the grand jury saw fit to press further with the case.(OJ)
