SAMPSON COUNTY, N.C. — A man driving a stolen car in South Carolina, now faces murder charges in Sampson County.
Late Saturday evening, Christopher Levon Terry was arrested after a South Carolina Highway Patrol trooper stopped his vehicle on Interstate 95 in Dorchester County.
According to the authorities, Terry did not have a driver's license and was "acting very suspicious."
Authorities later discovered that the vehicle he was driving was registered to Alice West McNair, of Newton Grove, N.C., who was found dead inside her home, apparently the victim of a homicide.
Terry is currently in custody in South Carolina awaiting extradition to North Carolina.
Authorities did not release any further details about the case.
