WAKE COUNTY, N.C. — Wake County authorities are investigating a fatal accident involving a pedestrian.
Daniel Edward Dean, 37, of Sioux Falls, S.D., was killed at about 10 p.m. Saturday at N.C. Highway 42 and Mt. Pleasant Road.
Authorities said Dean was walking in the roadway of Highway 42 when a vehicle traveling westbound struck him.
Investigators have not said who the driver of the vehicle was or whether charges would be filed.
