FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Fayetteville high school is addressing food safety issues after a surprise health department inspection issued it the lowest food safety grade in Cumberland County.
Terry Sanford High School earned an 84, or B, after health inspectors found a number of violations at the school's cafeteria, which included storing food at potentially unsafe temperatures on the serving line and leaving garbage bins open.
The school also lost food safety points for clogged drains and at least one employee who did not wash his hands before returning to the serving line after using a telephone.
