RALEIGH, N.C. — A North Carolina family closed a painful chapter in their lives, but it was not the outcome they were hoping for.
Charles Lucas of Mocksville was reported missing back in July. He disappeared while driving home from a relative's house.
Lucas was profiled on the CBS TV show, "Without a Trace."
On Tuesday, a driver along Interstate 40 in Greensboro spotted Lucas' pickup truck in the woods and called police. They found Lucas inside, dead.
An autopsy is scheduled to determine how Lucas died.
