Three Men Shot In Sampson County Confrontation

GARLAND, N.C. — Investigators were on the scene of a triple shooting in Sampson County late Thursday evening.

The incident occured around 9 p.m. at a home on 240 Cabbage Patch Road outside of Garland. Authorities said a woman inside the home found an injured man on her porch, but no victims were found when officers arrived.

Shortly afterward, David Carr, Gregory McCoy and Ellis Boone drove themselves to the hospital in their personal vehicles. All three had gunshot wounds.

Carr was treated and released at the hospital. McCoy and Boone were transferred to UNC Hospital. All three men have criminal histories.

Authorities said there are no other suspects sought in the case at this time.
