Animal Control Changes Subject Of Franklin Commissioners' Meeting

Posted Updated

FRANKLIN COUNTY, N.C. — Franklin County commissioners Monday evening were expected to approve changes for animal control.

For now, animals put to sleep are placed in a gas chamber made by one of the animal control officers, but commissioners may approve using a low-cost service to administer lethal injections.

Commissioners were also expected to decide if a certified rabies vaccinator should give shots at the county's Animal Control Center.
