FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Authorities have released the name of the woman who was shot to death at the VA Hospital in Fayetteville.
Fayetteville police received a call Monday night about an irate person in the pharmacy. Police say Arthur James Charland Jr. shot Linda Leviton three times with a shotgun at the hospital.
Both Charland and Leviton worked at the pharmacy. There is no word about a possible motive in the shooting.
Charland, 42, has been charged with murder. He is being held without bond at the Cumberland County Detention Center.
Leviton is survived by her two children.
