Athletic Fields, Hiking Trails Among Options For North Wake Landfill Site

RALEIGH, N.C. — Tuesday was the last chance for Wake County residents to give their input on what should be built on the North Wake Landfill site.

People showed up at Durant Middle School Tuesday to provide final input on the project.

The rough draft of the 45-acre project includes a school, athletic fields and hiking trails.

The landfill is projected to close in 2007.
