RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police are seeking the public's help in investigating the discovery of an unidentified man's body in the woods near Interstate 440.
At about 4 p.m., police responded to a wooded area off of the eastbound lanes of I-440 and Hammond Road where a pedestrian in the area found the body.
The pedestrian told a passing motorist who then reported it to authorities.
Police said the remains had been in the area for an undetermined amount of time.
