Vandals Strike Again In Chapel Hill, Police Say

Posted Updated

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Chapel Hill police are looking for information about nine recent vandalisms that have recently occurred over the past month, seven of which involved the use of a B.B. or pellet weapon.

Investigators said some of the crimes were very similar to a series of car vandalisms that occurred earlier this year, where at least 40 vehicles had their tires slashed or windows broken.

Three of the incidents occurred in the central area of town and the rest occurred in northern Chapel Hill in the Homestead Road and Weaver Dairy Road areas.

On Wednesday and Friday of last week, police said the words "Night Fox" were painted with blue spray paint on two buildings at Timberlyne Apartments near Weaver Dairy Road, but officers were not sure if this incident was related to the vehicle vandalisms.

Anyone with information about any of these vandalisms is urged to contact the Chapel Hill Police Department at
