Firefighters Handle Grass Fire In Durham

DURHAM, N.C. — Firefighters control a grass fire in Durham that they say could have been much worse.

The fire started around 3 a.m. Friday in a neighborhood near Faucette Avenue and Logan Street.

At one point, firefighters say nearly 400 feet of grass was on fire, along with a fence near a home and an abandoned car.

There is no word yet on how the fire started.
