Durham, Raleigh Police Investigate Possible Link To Two Home Invasions

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — A break-in in Durham may be related to a home invasion in Raleigh's Brier Creek subdivision on Tuesday.

Investigators in both cases are comparing notes.

In the Durham break-in, police said a man knocked on the door of a Sturdivant Road home and rushed inside the house when the victim answered the door. The suspect also apologized before he left.

He got away with jewelry, sports memorabilia and a laptop.

On Tuesday, a man stopped by the Brier Creek house and asked if he could go inside to make a telephone call. He then entered the house and assaulted the woman, Raleigh police said.
