DURHAM, N.C. — The man who created chaos at a local health clinic is getting a psychiatric evaluation.
Police say the man showed up Saturday at Lincoln Community Health Center in Durham asking for drugs.
When staffers said no, investigators say the man, who has not yet been identified, barricaded himself in a bathroom. Authorities say the man claimed he had a gun and threatened to kill everyone.
Workers evacuated the building and brought in a SWAT team. He later surrendered to authorities. No one was injured.
