Raleigh Police Seek Man Wanted For Making Sexual Solicitations

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh investigators are looking for an unknown man accused of making sexual solicitations toward a girl and a woman.

On Nov. 7, a 12-year-old girl was walking near the intersection of Hunting Ridge Road and Manor Oaks Drive when a pickup truck went past her, turned around and reapproached her, according to police. The driver then stopped the truck next to the girl and solicited a sexual act and eventually drove away after multiple refusals by the victim, police said.

The next evening, a 28-year-old woman was walking along the 6800 block of Rainwater Road, when a driver in a similar truck pulled beside her and solicited a sexual act. When the victim refused, police said the driver drove away, then drove back toward the woman and made a comment.

The two locations were within a mile of one another, police said.

Police describe the suspect as a white male between 16 and 18 years old with short blond hair and a small build. He may have blue eyes, police said.

The truck was a late 1990s medium-size pickup, either red or burgundy in color, and may have a gray interior.
