U.S. 1 Lumber Truck Accident
An 18-wheeler went for a wild ride on U.S. 1 near Wake Forest Tuesday afternoon.

The driver of the tractor-trailer said that he overturned his truck after a car cut him off. The truck flipped on its side and the lumber it was hauling slid off the back. The driver was not hurt.

Officers shut down the northbound lanes of U.S. 1 near the Wake-Franklin county line and rerouted traffic as they continue to clear up the boards.

maybe i'm heartless, but my husband is a truck driver. you wouldnt believe some of the stories of what people do, and my husband would do WHATEVER it took to try and not hurt someone else, regardless of the situation or whos fault it was cuz he couldnt live with it. i see how people do big trucks, and its plain stupid. (passing a big truck in emergency lane. or even better...a one lane EXIT RAMP)and if your so stupid to do some ***t i have seen, you deserve to get hit! why should my husband risk his life to make sure a plain idiot is safe and gets home in one piece, and have to pry his dead body outta the woods somewhere and leave our kids with no father??? this is how i feel: WITH DRIVERS ED AND COMMON SENSE PEOPLE SHOULD KNOW BETTER!!!! THEIR JUST TO DANG LAZY TO THINK BEFORE THEY DO OR EITHER TO MUCH IN A DANG HURRY TO CARE!!!!

That's a dangerous area. Accidents like this are bound to happen if we are not on our best behavior.Let's be careful in busy areas

It was loads of 2x4's. I am up and down that speedway everyday and its not just one group of people or another. I would say about 40% are in need of a revocation or serious driving classes. I have seen people doing some really bizarre things in their vehicles in the morning and evening.

id bet she was on her cellphone i see people dile a number then start the car and talk all the way home from work not just sometimes i mean everyday
