Suspect In Custody For Allegedly Vandalizing School

SMITHFIELD, N.C. — Police have arrested a 19-year-old man suspected of damaging a school and stealing several items.

Authorities say 10 windows were broken and telephones, walkie talkies and a camcorder were stolen from South Campus Community School in Smithfield.

Authorities arrested 19-year-old Roger Watson on school grounds. He faces two felony charges. They are looking for a second suspect.

South Campus Community School is an alternative school for children.
