DURHAM, N.C. — A Durham man has been found guilty for a August 2004 carjacking that prompted an Amber Alert.
A jury found Michael Tart guilty late Thursday of first-degree kidnapping and robbery.
Police say Tart and another man forced a couple out of their car at gunpoint last year, not realizing 3-year-old Annette Medina was in the back seat.
Medina was later reunited with her family unharmed.
Tart is scheduled to be sentenced next week.
