Henderson Approves Teen Curfew

e-mail print friendly
The Henderson City Council voted Monday in favor of a teen curfew.

Many residents pushed for the curfew, saying teenagers keep them up at night and vandalize property.

The curfew, which applies to teens 15 years old and younger, will be from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on weekdays and 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.

The curfew takes effect on April 2.

Hold the PARENTS responsible, for the kids action.take their property, beat the parents, wreck their property OR,ADD THE DAMAGE TO THE PARENTS TAX BILL

Get rid of the public school system. That's where they learn to act stupid. Keep them locked up after dark unless they're with their parents.

Parents should implement their own curfews for their kids, asking them to come home at a decent hour. If this were being done, curfews wouldn't have to be imposed by municipalities. We, as parents, should take responsibility for our children and know where they are, who they are with, and what they are doing.

I have lived in Knightdale my whole life (that is a long time) and I take offense to "dndunn"s sister moving from Knightdale because of the crime??? Give me a break, that is crazy. Where in Knightdale did your sister live?

I agree with XX...there is supposed to be a curfew in Hope Mills (Fayetteville area) and I see kids out after the curfew when I visit my fam.
