RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police say a man was hit by a train overnight.
A train conductor found a body on the railroad tracks near the intersection of
Hoke Street and Blount Street
around 1:30 a.m. Thursday.
Police believe the victim may have been struck earlier by a different train.
They have not yet identified the person.
Officials said the person is described as a black male, 40 to 50 years old, and standing about 5 feet 10 inches tall. He was wearing blue jeans, brown shoes, white socks, a pink shirt, and a black leather jacket with green, orange and black sleeves.
