Raleigh, N.C. — Firefighters from several engines companies battled a smoky fire Friday night in a commercial building at 335 Sherwee Drive.
The fire was inside the Virginia Hardwood Flooring Co., one of the tenants in the single-story building that has five units.
People in a bingo parlor next door to the flooring company were forced to evacuate.
Firefighters had to work in heavy smoke to put out the blaze.
No injuries were reported, and the fire was brought under control within an hour.
