CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — A Chapel Hill teen accused in the shooting deaths of his parents is getting new legal help.
Police say Adam Sapikowski admits killing his parents in their home last May.
Public defender James Williams has represented the teenager since his arrest. However, Raleigh defense attorneys Rosemary Godwin and Johnny Gaskins plan to take over the case.
A judge will have to approve the change. WRAL spoke with Godwin, but she would not say why they are taking over the case or if Sapikowski's family is paying the bill.
