HARNETT COUNTY, N.C. — A Cumberland County deputy was fired Wednesday after she was arrested on drug charges following a monthlong investigation.

Tirhonda Leach, 26, was arrested earlier this week in Harnett County and charged with trafficking cocaine and possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana. She had been with the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office since 2002.

Leach's mother, Beverly Ann Judd, was also arrested. Both are being held in jail under a $300,000 bond.

Leach's sister, 25-year-old Shalonda, was arrested on the same charges, as well. She posted bond.
