DURHAM, N.C. — A woman faces charges for hiding a murder suspect.
Durham police arrested 26-year-old Stacy Shepard on Tuesday and charged her with harboring Jamal Watson. Authorities say Watson killed two men -- 28-year-old Tauarus Hamlett and 24-year-old James Webb -- during a robbery attempt on Aug. 2.
Watson was arrested at Shepard's apartment complex on Thursday.
Shepard, who is employed with the North Carolina Attorney General's Office in the Training and Standards Division, was released from jail on an unsecured $5,000 bond.
Another suspect is wanted by police in connection with the double homicide. He is described as a black male in his mid-20s, 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium complexion. He had plats in his hair and may go by the nickname "Loco." He is believed to frequent the area around McDougald Terrace.
