HARNETT COUNTY, N.C. — Charges could be filed this week in a weekend accident that sent seven children and two adults to the hospital.
Authorities said a family was going home from the North Carolina State Fair Saturday when a pickup truck pulled in front of the sport utility vehicle in which they were riding on Highway 401 in Harnett County.
The SUV's driver, Roosevelt Davis, of Fayetteville, then swerved and flipped the vehicle several times.
Three of the children are still at UNC Hospitals -- one listed in critical condition and two listed in good condition.
The driver of the truck, Amanda Fenton, 16, of Angier, was not seriously injured.
