Driver Injured After Running Into Johnston Deputy's Car

JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. — Johnston County deputies are investigating an accident involving one of their own.

The accident happened around 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Highway 39 and Old Beulah Road, outside Selma.

Investigators say a car rear-ended the deputy's cruiser.

The car's driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The deputy was not hurt.

So far, no charges are filed.
