Horse Becomes Newest Member Of N.C. State's Campus Police

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — A horse is the newest member of N.C. State's patrol force.

A family in Apex donated "Eli," an 8-year-old Appaloosa, to the university.

"Eli" joins "Action Jackson," another member of the university's mounted patrol unit.

The horses allow officers to go where cars cannot and helps better handle crowds.
