Fayetteville Gets OK To Begin Second Phase Of Outer Loop

Posted Updated

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville has the green light to start the second phase of construction on the Outer Loop.

The N.C. government approved an environmental study of the project despite objections from local residents.

The first phase of the road -- from Ramsey Street to I-95 -- opened in July.

The second phase calls for extending the four-lane road almost 28 miles around the northern and western part of Cumberland County.
