NASH COUNTY, N.C. — The new superintendent of Nash-Rocky Mount Schools officially took over the reins on Tuesday.
Rick McMahon replaced Dr. George Norris, who resigned three weeks into the school year.
School board members said they reached a mutual agreement to sever ties and had different views than Norris on some key issues.
McMahon was a candidate for the position five years ago when Norris was hired.
