CARY, N.C. — An inspector said he found so many roaches at a restaurant in Cary that he shut it down.
After getting a complaint, an inspector with Wake County checked out the
Green Papaya restaurant on Tryon Road
The inspector said he found live and dead roaches in almost every part of the kitchen, including on food prep tables, straws and bags of food.
Some were on the walls, tables and even floating in the dish water, the inspector said.
He ordered the restaurant to immediately close and to exterminate its facility.
The inspector said the owner has decided not to reopen.
