CARY, N.C. — Cary is following Raleigh's lead by replacing backyard garbage collection with curbside pickup.
Town officials say the change is the safest, most efficient, and most economical way to collect solid waste.
The town is expected to distribute new cans in a couple weeks.
Special allowances will be made for people who are physically unable to move their new cart to and from the curb.
