Violette's wife, Amber Violette, discovered the body when she returned home from work. The child's head had been severed from her body.
John Violette, who was arrested Jan. 13 in Washington D.C., is currently being held at Dorothea Dix Hospital in Raleigh, where he has been undergoing mental evaluations.
Family members said he battled paranoid schizophrenia a decade before the slaying

They have a lot of things in the middle east that would hardly be appropriate here.
>>>I bet the paternal grandparents are feeling terrible guilt over this.
If they weren't, they probably will after reading some of the public comments on this case.
Please show some compassion and dignity on these forums.
