Posted Updated

DURHAM, N.C. — The N.C. Court of Appeals has granted a new sentence to a Durham man who admitted to killing his wife in June 2003 and dumping her body at Duke Manor.

Elisha Williams had been sentenced to 19 years in prison.

On Tuesday, the appeals court ruled that the sentence was too long based on the evidence.

Williams will face another hearing that will determine his new sentence.
