Shortly before 2 p.m. Thursday, police responded to a domestic disturbance call at 1009 Clarendon St. When they arrived, they were told that Tomaris Parker was still inside the house.
Witnesses told police that Parker had allegedly fired a gun at his sister from close range after she attempted to intervene an argument he was having with his girlfriend.
When officers were told Parker was inside the house, they evacuated nearby houses and closed part of Clarendon Street.
Police negotiators attempted to contact Parker, and when negotiations failed, the police department's Selective Enforcement Team fired several rounds of tear gas into the house. At about 5:45 p.m., officers entered the house to find that no one was inside.
Parker's sister, whose identity was not released, was not injured. Police said the bullet missed her head by inches.
