RALEIGH, N.C. — N.C. Attorney General Roy Cooper said his office has received more than 500 calls and almost 30 written complaints about gas price gouging. But so far, Cooper has not taken any action.
Last week, Cooper asked consumers to file complaints about gas price gouging with
his office
.
A spokeswoman for Cooper said the Attorney General's office was looking into each complaint, but it was "too soon to tell" if there has been any illegal activities.
The spokeswoman also said Cooper met with industry leader on Thursday to better understand what was going on with the gas situation in North Carolina.
