DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police are investigating a drive-by shooting that injured three people Thursday night.

Police said occupants of an older-model gray Ford Taurus fired several shots at a duplex located at

516 Green Street

at about 7:45 p.m. Thursday.

Kammie Michael, spokeswoman for the Durham Police Department, said 25-year-old Emanuel Edmundson was shot in the head as he sat in the back of a truck parked in the driveway; Judith Rogers, 52, was shot in the foot as she sat in the front yard; and Sabrina Allen, who was inside her residence on Green Street, was shot in the leg. All three were transported to an area hospital.

Michael said Edmundson and Rogers have been released from the hospital, and Allen remains at the hospital in stable condition.

After the shootings, police searched two vehicles and both sides of the duplex at 516 Green Street. They found marijuana, drug packaging materials and scales inside one of the vehicles.

As a result of the search, investigators have issued warrants for 27-year-old Rashan Allen, who has been charged with possession of marijuana with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver; possession of drug paraphernalia; and maintaining a vehicle for the sale of drugs. Michael said Rashan Allen turned himself in to police on Sunday after seeing his photo on the news.

Michael said the shooting was the third shooting at the same location in the past 16 months.

She said Rashan Allen was shot five times on May 15, 2004, as he sat in a truck; and two males were shot on June 22, 2005, as they were walking by the residence.

No arrests have been made in either of the shootings, and investigators believe all three shootings were drug-related.
