RALEIGH, N.C. — A man charged with killing his wife with his bare hands will not face the death penalty if convicted, according to the Wake County district attorney's office.
Police say Michael Massenburg chased his wife, Dujuana, in May until she wrecked her car in a north Raleigh neighborhood, where officers say he beat her until she died.
Massenburg is being held in Central Prison because authorities say they consider him too dangerous for the Wake County Jail.
