Raleigh Man Charged In Wife's Beating Death Won't Face Death Penalty

e-mail print friendly

A man charged with killing his wife with his bare hands will not face the death penalty if convicted, according to the Wake County district attorney's office.

Police say Michael Massenburg chased his wife, Dujuana, in May until she wrecked her car in a north Raleigh neighborhood, where officers say he beat her until she died.

Massenburg is being held in Central Prison because authorities say they consider him too dangerous for the Wake County Jail.

You can bet if she had killed him she'd be sitting on death row. I'm curious to know the number of men who've been convicted of killing their wives/girlfriends who have been given the death penalty. I would imagine the number is pretty low if it exists at all. Let a woman kill her husband and she's painted as a money hungry, ungrateful, whore who deserves what she gets...a man kills his wife/girlfriend and he's given a slap on the wrist and told to mind his temper the next time....

What would be the reasons the D.A. doesn't seek the death penalty????

ME AGAIN:::: OK HE WILL GO TO PRISON--------- HE NEEDS TO GET THE DEATHE PENALTY

WHAT GIVES HIM THE RIGHT TO KILL HIS WIFE AND NOT GO TO PRISON FOR IT??? THATS JUST TELLING ALL THE OTHER MEN THAT THEY CAN DO THE SAME DAM THING.
